## Meet John Parks

I got into welding by doing DIY projects at home and helping family and friends with small jobs. Even when I wasn’t welding for a living, I always found myself coming back to it. For me, welding is more than just work—it’s an art form that I truly enjoy.

With around 6 years of professional welding experience and several more years of welding on the side, most of my background comes from building plants, working on everything from structural I-beams to pipe.

Outside of welding, I enjoy hunting, fishing, anything with a motor, and spending time at the gun range.

What I love most about teaching at Western Welding Academy is the opportunity to do what I love while teaching students who are just as passionate about welding. Watching them grow and develop their skills is incredibly rewarding.
